We are often asked how TrustWorks™ is different from the internet sensation Aardvark, aka “Vark”. Vark is a consumer-oriented product that reads your facebook posts and attempts to infer your areas of expertise using “artificial intelligence”. They were funded for $6M, and after registering about 100,000 free users they sold the company to Google for $50M. Vark has a very rapid registration process, and is an easy-to-use system that sends instant messages to friends and strangers in the hope of finding answers to surface-knowledge questions.
In contrast, the TrustWorks™ product is designed for high-value communications within trusted communities. Our system of maintaining “personal inventories,” customized for private organizations, is aimed at a different market and for different purposes.
